EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK Happy 75th birthday Everglades National Park! One of the largest wetlands in the world, it was formally dedicated as a national park on December 6, 1947. The park covers over 1.5 million acres (2,357 square miles) in Miami-Dade, Collier and Monroe Counties.
