WOODEN SHIP Hurricanes Ian and Nicole uncovered a wood ship from the 1800’s near Daytona Beach. Storm erosion revealed a 100-foot-long wood and iron object over the Thanksgiving weekend. EVERGLADES NATIONAL PARK Happy 75th birthday Everglades National Park! One of the largest wetlands in the world, it was formally dedicated as a national park on December 6, 1947. The park covers over 1.5 million acres (2,357 square miles) in Miami-Dade, Collier and Monroe Counties.
